I asked this to NIKON support and this is the answer: Apparently you can't connect CCP2 to the D5300 via wifi. It cant be done with the D5300 as there are no wifi adaptors for it that will connect with CCP2, although it says that it is possible note that in the text where it says "optional WiFi adapters for select models" unfortunately your D5300 is not one of them. I see a reply to your question in a Nikon question and answer session and it's about a year old, so it's current. I am not familiar with this as I have not done or tried to do it.
